Monetization Terms

These terms cover creator monetization on Akewe. They sit under our Terms of Service, and section 6 of that document points here. Accepting them in Creator Studio puts your channel into monetization.

1. Who can join

You can join if you own the channel rather than help run it. Monetization follows the owner, because the owner is who we pay.

Your channel needs at least one video published and public. Adverts run beside your channel page and on your watch pages, so a channel with nothing public has nowhere to put one.

Your channel also needs to be in good standing. A report we have upheld against your content in the last 90 days keeps you out until that period passes.

No subscriber count or watch-hour figure applies today. If we add one, it will be written here before it applies to you.

2. Who sells the adverts

Bolrach Ads sells and serves every advert on Akewe. When you join we open a publisher account for you inside Bolrach Ads and a partner record inside Bolrach Partners, both in the legal name you give us. Your earnings, your reporting and your payments live there, and Creator Studio shows you what that account says. Akewe keeps no separate figure of its own.

3. What you earn

You keep 68 percent of what an advert earns on your channel. Bolrach Ads keeps the rest, which pays for selling the advert, serving it and collecting the money.

Akewe counts earnings in United States dollars.

An advert earns when a real person sees it or clicks it. Activity we judge invalid comes off before we pay you, and that covers clicks you make yourself, clicks you ask other people to make, and traffic from software rather than people.

4. When you are paid

We need a tax form and a payout account from you before anything goes out.

We do not send a period that earned less than a dollar on its own. It stays on your record and goes out once the total gets past a dollar.

Payments run monthly.

Akewe does not move your money. Bolrach Ads records what you are owed and BolrachPay pays it into the account you gave us.

5. Tax

Pick the form that fits you. You take a W-8 if you pay tax outside the United States and a W-9 if you pay tax as a United States taxpayer. If your own country reports this income, a local declaration covers it.

You sign by typing your legal name, and it has to match the name on the form exactly. A name typed differently does not count as a signature.

What you owe in tax is yours to settle. We report what the law requires us to report.

6. What your channel can carry

Display adverts sit beside your channel page and your watch pages. You switch them on or off yourself and the change takes effect within a minute.

Nobody serves adverts inside the video yet, whether before it, during it or after it. Creator Studio marks those unavailable instead of offering a switch that does nothing.

7. What can stop it

We can pause or hold your monetization if a report against your content is upheld, if you break our Acceptable Use Policy or our Community Guidelines, if we suspect fraud or invalid activity, or if the law requires it. Where we can say which one it was, we will.

You can leave whenever you like by switching your formats off. Money you have already earned and that we owe you stays owed.

8. Your information

The legal name, country, tax form and payout details you give us go to Bolrach Ads and Bolrach Partners, both run by the same company as Akewe. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

9. Changes

If we change these terms we change the version on this page, and Creator Studio asks you to accept the new one. What you accepted before stays on your record with the date you accepted it.
